We would like to inform you that the Johne’s Disease Liquid Culture: Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) test is temporarily unavailable at WVDL due to a backorder of the required culture media. Based on current information, the media is expected to become available in late August 2026.
We are working closely with the vendor to restore testing as soon as possible and will notify you when the test becomes available again.
In the meantime, MAP Real-Time PCR testing remains available, and we encourage its use whenever appropriate, particularly for diagnostic submissions. For export testing, please note that fecal samples may be stored at −80°C and submitted for liquid culture testing once the service resumes.
