Coming Changes: Under Construction

We are excited to announce that on July 1, 2024, we are upgrading our Laboratory Information System to Core One For Labs (COFL). This dramatic upgrade will enhance our internal processes and bring significant changes to your client experience.

Client portal

The Client Portal will be the most noticeable change for our clients. Through the Client Portal, you will be able to:

  • Submit electronically
  • Order tests
  • View results

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch date!

Changes to How You View Tests

The look and feel of our available test lists will be different from what you see today. On our website, we will be importing test codes with official names that may seem new to you. However, the search terms you use with our current system will still work with the new system.

Changes to the Reports and Report Layouts

While change can be uncomfortable, we are excited about the upcoming upgrades, including:

  • Early Viewing of Individual Test Results: You can view individual test results in the Client Portal–even before the case is finalized.
  • Finalized Report Notifications: You will receive an email notification when the entire report is finalized, along with a copy of the report.
  • New Report Formats: The report format will differ from what you see today and may vary depending on the number of animals in a single accession:
    • For 5 animals or less, the report will include detailed information about each animal.
    • For more than 5 animals, the report will be simplified to include only animal IDs.

What to Expect

First-Time Login for Existing Clients

  1. Enter the email address you have always used.
  2. Click “Forgot Password”. This will send you an email with a link to set up your new password.

Test Costs

  • A planned 3.5% overall price increase will take effect on July 1, 2024, so you may notice a modest cost difference.
  • The test listing on our website will still show in-state and out-of-state pricing. The in-state discount will be applied to Wisconsin clients or those approved for an in-state rate, regardless of the portal price shown.
  • Itemized invoices will accompany final reports.

Historic Results

  • You can access the old client portal until September 30, 2024.
  • We will keep your records for 10 years after finalization of results. You can request them by contacting our Client Services Team at 800-608-8387 or 608-262-5432.

New Forms

There will be new submission forms on our website. We have consolidated them so that it’s easier to choose the right form.

What you will see July 1

  • Updated website: We are excited to share that when we go live with the new COFL system, we will also be updating the look and feel of this website.  Upgrades include enhanced search functions and a simplified menu with a focused layout.
  • How-to videos: We will be adding short videos to help you navigate the new client portal.
  • New forms: Not sure which form you should use? We agree! We have simplified form selection to work with the new system. The new forms will utilize clear titles, check boxes, and make clear the information we need for timely processing of your samples.
  • New COFL FAQ: The client experience is incredibly important to us. We will make sure that common questions are logged and reflected in the FAQ. Never hesitate to reach out!
  • New high volume options: We will continue to support our current bulk spreadsheet into Fall of 2024, but we want to let you know about some new options:
    • Clients can submit samples using an Excel file bulk import. A video demonstrating both of these will be available on our website on June 27.  We can provide additional demos for clients as requested.
    • Results reporting can be automated using an API. Interested clients can review this document and reach out to get started in our development portal.
    • Automated submission process using an API is anticipated for release and use on or around August 1
    • We are also developing a reporting tool with the COFL team to automate export of CSV files for larger clients for which API links are out of reach.  We anticipate introducing this option in Fall of 2024
