Equine Infectious Anemia Virus (EIA) Diagnostic Testing

Detection of antibody to equine infectious anemia virus (EIA) by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). This testing is performed by the WVDL, which is an APHIS-approved lab for import and export. An Official Federal EIA Report form is required with all submissions. To avoid errors in testing due to hemolysis, please remove serum from the clot and transfer this serum to another tube prior to shipping. Hemolysis affects serologic testing and may cause samples to be rejected. Samples should be kept cold during transport. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
