| INFORMATION: | Sexed or sorted semen samples MUST be identified as such on the submitting paperwork. Results are usually available in 21-26 days. Turn-around time will be affected by a drastic increase in requests for an individual test, arrival time of the specimen at the laboratory and poor quality samples that will require additional processing. Advanced scheduling is REQUIRED when submitting greater than 20 semen samples at one time. Please contact the Virology Section at least one week prior to submission. Large submissions should also be placed into numerically identified straw holders, which correspond to the paperwork. Consult WVDL about the number of straws of semen required. The number of straws submitted will be recorded on the the test report. |
